Wish List: Boots

I have been on the hunt for a black boot that is short and flat for what seems like forever.  So far, these two are my favorites.  Is it too early to create my Christmas list?  I would think so but since Target is now filled with Christmas trees, perhaps it is okay.

Wish List: Nicholas Kirkwood Slingbacks

How fabulous are these shoes?
They have my two current obsessions, orange and stripes, all rolled up into one.
Plus, they are a great heel height for this mega tall lady.
Perhaps I need to come up with another bet with the hubby to score these...

YIKES!

When I wrote my One Year post, number 6 of my "things about me" was "I have an issue with claustrophobia and freaked out during an MRI (I am hoping I NEVER need one EVER again)".

Fast forward to TODAY, and as you read this, I am heading in to my second MRI.  Yep, lucky me.  The only difference this time is that I will be drugged up on Valium and will hopefully not give a crap that they sticking me in a tunnel.

Where would I rather be?  Well, this wouldn't be so bad...

But I would be okay with anything other than an MRI machine.

Just to ensure that this post is not 100% of a complaint on my predicament, I thought I would share this happy news.  Net-A-Porter has one of their incredible sales going on now and it would be sad for you to miss out.  Here is just a peek of what you could pick up.

Jump

I am dying over this entire look but the jumpsuit is gorgeous.
Wouldn't it be a great look for a night out on the town?
Between this jumpsuit and this dress, I have developed a crush on red.

Laid Back

I LOVE this entire look from Net-A-Porter

Casual chic.
From head to toe, I can see myself wearing it all.
Too bad I made a bet with my hubby that I could go the entire month of May not buying ANYTHING for me or the kids.
(I think I was drunk when I made this bet.... I had to be)
I am stubborn so I will win the bet and not shop,
but of course now is when I see a ton of things I love.
As soon as June hits there won't be anything I like.  Guaranteed.

Florals

Floral print are EVERYWHERE this Spring.  From denim to blouses to accessories, you cannot escape the racks of wallpaper (or perhaps Grandmother's tablecloth?) inspired prints.  What are your thoughts?  Are you embracing the trend?

Ted Baker Beach Jumpsuit
Alice + Olivia Silk Floral Pants
Tinley Road Floral Tie Front Blouse
Zara Floral Print Handkerchief

I personally really like it.  Nothing says Spring more than floral prints.  There can obviously be an issue of "too much of a good thing" but when worn appropriately and in moderation, it offers a delicate sweetness to any outfit.

Wish List: Summer Edition

Rain, Rain, go away.  Come again next year.
Okay, so the rain actually did go away but it is still too cold to feel like summer.
These clothes make it feel like perhaps, it is closer than I think (fingers crossed).

Cut It Out

Over the next few months, I have a TON of events coming up.   Just think bridal showers, dinners, bachelorettes, rehearsal dinners, fashion shows, tea parties, benefits.  It is going to be a crazy first half of 2012, which I am extremely excited for BUT, coming up with something to wear to all of these is going to be a challenge.  With all the Winter Sales going on right now, I thought what better time to start looking (my husband may disagree but if it saves him money, he will thank me for it later)?  Unfortunately I was not having the luck I thought I would have until I made a visit to Net-A-Porter.  Their current sale is fabulous and I was able to pick up this MASON by Michelle Mason Cutout Dress, originally $460 for $138!

As luck would have it, there was only one dress in one size left, and it was a 4.  PERFECT!  Meant to be right?  I love how the front is very simple and the back adds a little sassiness.  At least now I have a few events covered!

I would highly recommend checking out the sale here if you get the chance.  Yet another great Winter Sale with great sale prices.

AND, because I have no shame, the January issue of Orange Coast Magazine comes hits newsstands today and if you happen to turn to pages 50 and 51, you will see my smiling face, along an article on me and Juggling in Heels!  I am obviously VERY excited about this!
