Second Time

unknown
Today the hubby and I are heading out for a weekend of wine tasting with friends for the second time this month.  Different wine country, different friends, same activity.  Perhaps we did not have enough wine over the holidays or perhaps the holidays have driven us to need even more time away.  Whatever it is, I am really looking forward to the drive, the boutique inn, the wine, the food and most importantly, the friends.

Keep an eye out for what we are up to on instagram (@jugglinginheels) and I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Wine Country

This weekend the hubby and I are heading out of town with friends to enjoy a weekend in wine country.  Our plans include eating, wine tasting, relaxing and simply enjoying each other's company.  This has been on the calendar forever and I am so excited it is right around the corner.

A weekend away also means wardrobe planning.  Planning for a day of wine tasting is one of my favorites because it involves everything I like to wear.  Items that are stylish yet comfortable, boots and of course a few accessories and sunglasses.  It is never too fancy yet always pulled together.  Here is the look I pulled together for Saturday when we are hitting some of the best vineyards in the valley.

Like I said, simple yet pulled together.
Now if Friday could just hurry up and get here.

Friday

via

Today marks the last day of Christmas break for the kids and the last weekend before returning to "reality".  In order to rejuvenate (and perhaps sleep past 7am), the hubby and I are heading out of town this afternoon to spend the weekend wine tasting with friends.  I am SO looking forward to this time with him as it seems our time to actually communicate with each other continues to decline as the children become more and more involved.  After three trips with the kids in the second half of the year, we are ready for a little quiet/alone time.

Any fun plans for you this weekend?

Paris Favorites: Wine Tasting

As if we did not have enough wine at this point in the trip, we spent an entire day wine tasting while in Beaune.  And when I say an entire day, I mean an ENTIRE day.  The first appointment was at 10am and we ended at 11:30pm with the close of dinner.  We did all of our tasting in town and what we did not expect was the history behind wine making in France.  Sorry Napa, you have nothing on this.  Two of our favorite vineyards were Bouchard Pere & Fils and Maison Champy.  Here are some of the pictures taken from their caves and of course, our tasting....
