Dreaming of Decorating

Every now and then I love to hop over to Rue Magazine and peruse pictures while I day dream about how I am going to decorate our next home.  No, we are not planning on moving until after the New Year, but for now, I will continue to gather inspiration.

I told my hubby that if I could have this closet....

...he could have this one.

As much as I love this look, I am picturing a jelly face on the white sofa

I dream of a country kitchen

Who wouldn't love this?!  But not sure ocean front property is in the budget.

A Vampire has entered my home

via

I love the Cullens.  I really do.  But I don't need one in my house.  Apparently Baby Girl has gotten swept up into the vampire rage and now believes biting is the way to get people to listen.  I have no idea where this has come from either.  Over night she became a little terror who strikes fear into her older brothers.  She leaves her mark extremely fast and runs away as they scream in pain.  At 18 months she is not able to communicate extremely well with words but her bites yell "LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!!" rather successfully.  We have now entered the "time out" zone with this little one but with how stubborn she is, this is going to take some time.  My boys were never biters so this is entirely new to me.  I really do not like it and apologize to all the moms out there who I may have potentially judged for having children who bite.  Fortunately she has not bitten anyone except her brothers (perhaps letting them know that although she is the youngest, SHE is in charge), but I am hoping we can move through this stage rather fast.  Until then, what out for this face.

It may look sweet, but if you have something she wants, do something she doesn't like or you simply just piss her off, she will come after you.

Brunello Cucinelli + Camino Health Center = A Fabulous Event!

Last Thursday the hubby and I had the pleasure of attending the Brunello Cucinelli boutique opening event at South Coast Plaza, benefiting the Camino Health Center in San Juan Capistrano.  This event was to celebrate the opening of the brand's second California boutique and kicked off a weekend of charitable giving, by donating 10% of all sales from November 3 through November 6 to the Camino Center.  This event is one of many occurring throughout the month to support The Camino Health Center's benefit, The Fashion Show, sponsored by South Coast Plaza, on November 22, 2011 (more about this event and the Camino Center in an upcoming post!).  We had such a fabulous time and I could go on and on with how beautiful the clothes were but I am going to let the photos speak for themselves.

The Hubby and I
South Coast Plaza's General Manager, Anton Segerstrom &
President of Brunello Cucinelli USA, Massimo Caronna
The Fashion Show Co-Chair, Lynn Maioriello and Chair, Charlene Jessop
Thomas Ricotta, Jessica Debreceni and Lisa Carlone, members of the Brunello Cucinelli PR and Marketing Team (and me of course!)

If you would like to get a little more insight into Brunello Cucinelli, watch the below video.  It not only shows the beauty behind their clothes but it will make you want to take a trip to Italy.

The vest is mine!

I have been eyeing this Rachel Zoe Faux Fur Vest ever since her collection launched a few months ago.

I had yet to pull the trigger until I found it at Neiman Marcus on sale!  That was all that I needed to order it!
Such a welcome addition to my Fall wardrobe and a great way to kick off the weekend.

Happy Friday everyone!

Wrap me in a blanket.

Doesn't this VINCE Striped Blanket Coat just look divine?

All that runs through my mind when looking at this is hot chocolate, fireplace, cabin, snow, warm, holidays, cozy.

I am so ready to be done with shorts and tanks and embrace all the comfy that is winter.  Any day now these 80 degree days will end.  I just know it....

A Witch and her Bacon

It has been a while since I dressed up for Halloween.  That is actually an understatement.  I do not remember the last time I have dressed up for Halloween.  I have simply left it to the children.  This year the boys got really into The Wizard of Oz and asked if I would dress up as the Wicked Witch of the East and paint myself green.  I thought Glinda would be a better option but apparently they think I am a bitch a green face is more fun.  So I committed.  Come Halloween night I covered my face and neck green while my husband looked on with a laugh, as he simply threw on a 49ers jersey and called himself done.  NO WAY.  This bitch witch was not letting him go so easily.  Luckily my sister had a bacon costume (entire other story) and I got the kids to demand that he be bacon.  So here we are.

Try as I might, the kids were more excited about sugar highs than they were about taking pictures so here are some random shots that we were able to get without a great family one (very typical around here).  Please realize that I understand that Minnie has mouse ears but SHE insisted they were a "no go". Also, my Middle Man is not half brunette and half blonde.  The brown is hair color that he INSISTED on until I started spraying it and then it was major freak out.  Obi Wan apparently likes streaks.

Leather please!

Since I have bored you with my favorite Fall trend enough (see you later animal print!), I will now begin obsessing over my second favorite Fall trend, leather.  I know there are some animal lovers out there who would like to throw red paint on me right now.  I get it.  My best friend would kill me for posting this (isn't that right KW?).  BUT ever since I posted about Paper Crown's Leather shorts here, I have developed a slight obsession with all things leather.  I would be so happy with any of these items entering my closet, but I must say, the leather leggings are top of my list.
