For most of my life, I thought of sleep masks as something only Edith from Overboard wore to bed.  Never did I deem them something negative, just never something that was for me.

Call it old age but over the past year or so, light has began to REALLY bother me when I am trying to sleep.  I don't mean lights being turned on; of course that would bother anyone.  No, I am talking about the small light on our television that shines even though the television is turned off.  My husband laughs at me over this but I swear it feels like a neon light is shining in my face.  And then there is the hubby.  I love that he is motivated enough to wake up at 4:30am to workout.  I do not love the light that he turns on in his closet that seems to travel out of his closet, turn a corner, through our bathroom, around another corner and hit me in the face.  How I notice this, I do not know, but it still wakes me up.  Light at night annoyed me enough that I decided I would try a sleep mask.

MIRACLE PRODUCT.  I am now understand why so many people use them.  I cannot tell you how much better I am sleeping now that I wear a sleep mask.  Sure it took a few nights to get used to having it on but now I cannot even think about going to sleep without it.  Just image a Vegas hotel room with the blackout shades.  That is what I get to experience every night.  No understanding of day or time.  It is WONDERFUL.  I am now sleeping so deeply that my children have been forced to wake me up over Christmas break at 8:30am or 9am because they were hungry.  I am sure there are a few people out there reading this that already use one (you were smart from the start) but I am a new convert.  Best $26 I have ever spent.

As the weather continues to get warmer, I begin to realize two things.  The first is that my toes are in desperate need of some love.  My inability to maintain pedicures has taken its toll and I need to step it up.  It is not about pampering but about not being embarrassed.  Second, it begins the justification of updating my sandal collection as they are the only shoes I live in from now until Fall.  I have been eyeing these Rebecca Minkoff Bettina Flat Sandals for a while.  They are a great price and simple enough to go with everything in my closet. I need to just pull the trigger and order.  My favorite is the nude magic but how fun would the neon pink be?

When I am trying to look cute but be comfortable (and I mean, REALLY comfortable), I find that it is extremely hard to do.  My closet is just not that accommodating and workout clothes are just boring (yet, I wear them ALL the time).  Ideally, I would stay in my pajamas but I am not sure how that would be received.  

A few months ago I ordered these Young Fabulous & Broke Sierra Pants.  

I thought they looked extremely comfortable, soft and something that I could wear with a tank and sandals, be cozy, but look somewhat put together.  I don't mean to brag, but I was right.  These are THE MOST COMFORTABLE PANTS EVER.  That is not an exaggeration at all.  I am actually wearing them as I write this.  They feel like pajama pants but truth be told, I have also dressed them up and wore them out to dinner.  They are vey flattering on and I love how long they are (always an issue for me).  I am now looking to order another pair because I wear them so much.  This time in the black.

Changing topics completely, after posting on my win and the Jimmy Choo's the hubby has to get me, he immediately came back with "double or nothing".  See, he was not happy about this loss.  Unfortunately for him, this lady knows when to take her winnings and walk away from the table so even though there is the potential of two pairs of Jimmy Choo's, I am going to keep my one.  No need to be greedy around here.  Sorry babe.

White Out

As Spring gets closer (we will see what the Groundhog says today), I have completely moved past Winter clothes and am beginning to prepare my wardrobe for Spring.  Number 1 item on my list was a new pair of white jeans.  You already know my obsession with Rag and Bone/JEAN (reference here and here) so it was pretty easy for me to pick out this little pair.

As you all know, I am a HUGE fan of Rag and Bone.  I am typically a fan of everything in their collection.  That being said, every now and then a designer will throw a wrench in their collection and make me say, hmmmmm.  That is exactly what happened when I saw this Rag and Bone Barswood Haircalf and Leather Coat.

Helmut Lang F/W Collection

While perusing ShopBop, I came across the Helmut Lang F/W Collection look book and OMG.  It is amazing.  I want everything in this collection.  So simple, sexy and elegant.  I am dying for look #3.  The coat and dress are gorgeous.  That being said, I would happily wear all of these looks.  Do you have a favorite?
